Our mission at St. Timothy is to express the love of Christ through “Caring for Others,” wherever that may send us.  That may look like building water wells in Kenya, like bringing a meal to an ill neighbor, or simply driving a golf cart on Sunday mornings.  We each have a mission, and one of our goals is to partner with you, so you can discover your mission field.

So where do you begin?  The great Apostle Peter wrote, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”  Every Christian has a Spiritual Gift given by God to accomplish His plan for your life. See Romans 12, I Corinthians 12, and Ephesians 4 in your Bible. We encourage you to check out online spiritual gifts surveys, such as the links below, that are designed to identify what your unique gifts may be.

In addition to your Spiritual Gifts, your natural abilities can inform how and where you are being sent.
  • Life experience can give you insight and sympathy to help others going through similar situations.
  • Special knowledge such as medical training, technical skills, or construction expertise can open doors for ministry.
  • Talents such as musical, artistic or athletic ability can and should be used to glorify God.

Our doors are always open to help you discern your direction.  Call the church office or email any of our pastors to schedule a meeting to discuss and pray through your decision.  If you know what your passion and gifts are, or want to see areas where you might serve, check out our “Serve” page to get involved in one of our many exciting ministry areas.

How can I make a difference?

How can we make a difference together?

I was hungry and you fed me,
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was homeless and you gave me a room,
I needed clothes and you clothed me,
I was sick and you looked after me,
I was in prison and you came to see me.
Matthew 25: 35 – 36

Caring for Others Together

This is the heart of Missions and Outreach at St. Timothy. We believe that we are all called by God to take the good news and love of Christ outside church walls to a hurting world. Simple acts of kindness can open hearts to the love of Jesus in both those being served and those serving.

Our Purpose

At St. Timothy, we believe that the things that matter are accomplished through caring relationships. The purpose of the Missions & Outreach Team is to assist in relationally connecting St. Timothy members with our global and community mission opportunities. We are not a committee; instead, we are a team with an open invitation to all to come and serve. Our goal is to build community where we can encourage each other, create space to obey God’s leading, share resources, and serve with lasting impact. We invite you to step into the things that matter most to you alongside others who share your heart.

St. Timothy Missions & Outreach Planning Team

Our team is a strategic planning and resource group of volunteers coordinating and providing care and support to our community and UMC global missions.  We meet the first Thursday of the month in the Family Life Center Room 103/104 from 9-10am.  Everyone is welcome. Contact Hillary Bass at [email protected] (850) 221-8305

Servants in Action Team

A team of volunteers who support the Missions & Outreach Planning Team’s projects on an “as needed” basis.  If you long to be involved, but can’t make a big commitment this is the team for you.  We could not accomplish all we do in missions and outreach at St Timothy’s without this volunteer force.  Contact Mary Capouch at [email protected]

Directory for Missions and Outreach

Use the Missions Directory to connect with others who care about the things you do. Because we believe that ministry is best done in relationship, you will find a St. Timothy member as a contact whenever possible.

Donation Bins

There are five conveniently located donation bins around the church campus for members to drop off items currently being collected. Bulletin announcements, take-home flyers and signs beside the bins keep members informed of current collections.
